Today both Jerry Zimmerman and Rob Loglisci have decided to discontinue
sponsorship of the PA Power Fastpitch team. Jerry has decided to
take a year off and Rob is contemplating retiring or playing on a
limited basis.
During their tenure the PA Power has won the 2005 ASA C National
Championships, the 2006 NSA World Series, the 2007 Allentown Fourth of
July Tournament and the 2008 NAFA A Major World Series. The Power
also finished second in Erie in 2007, second in the 2007 ASA B National
Championships and second in the 2008 NSA World Series. The Power
has matured from a well known local Pennsylvania team to a name that is
now recognized at a National level.
"Its been a great run, but for me its time to take a step back and be a
spectator for a while", Zimmerman from Ephrata PA is quoted as saying.
Loglisci adds "We left this team in great shape both financially and in
talent for the upcoming years, for now I'm going to enjoy just being a player
whenever they need me".
The team falls under the leadership of Eric Fogel, who was a player/coach since the Power's inception. Eric inherits a group of dedicated, talented players and a fundraising platform that is capable of raising a majority of the finances needed to operate the team. Assisting Fogel with the fundraising and search for additional sponsorship will be Derrick Zechman. Zechman played a major role in the initial organization of the fundraisers and has procured sponsorship in the past.
Any persons or organizations that wish to help sponsor our team can contact Eric or Derrick at info <at> pafastpitch <dot> com.

Great finish to the season with a second at the NSA's and another
Championship at NAFA. Although we did not reach our goal of
qualifying for the ISC II's, the season was nonetheless a success.
We were able to get increased playing time for our younger players
without lessening our performance on the field.
The future looks bright for our team as we head into 2009.
We have copies of all the photography from both the 2007 ISC II and the
2008 NAFA tournaments - we should be posting access to these pictures
shortly.
